Gwen Frank

K. Gwen Frank completed a four-year diploma (1983) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (2002) from Alberta College of Art and Design. She continued with independent studies in printmaking through the University of Calgary. Frank is a printmaker who explores intaglio, watercolour, and drawing. The imagery in many of her artworks draws inspiration from memories of her childhood on the prairies.
Frank has delivered intaglio workshops and lectures across North America and been invited to global printmaking exhibitions and symposiums. Selected exhibitions include the 1995 1st International Print Symposium in Slovakia and the 8th Premio Internazionale Biella per L’Incisione in Italy. Her work is housed in international collections.
