Formed in 2006 by Mary-Anne McTrowe and Daniel Wong, Cedar Tavern Singers AKA Les Phonoréalistes is a musical art duo based in Lethbridge. McTrowe obtained an MFA from Concordia University in 2001 and Wong an MFA from the University of Western Ontario in 2006.
Their songs centre on the subject of the Canadian art world. These often-humorous songs and performances centre on examining experiences with Canadian art, culture, and ideas. They have participated in interactive shows across Canada, including live performances at the University of Lethbridge Art Gallery in March 2015.
