Ann Haessel

Ann Haessel is a Canadian mixed-media artist. In her work she creates layers and complex details using fabric, embroidery, painting, and other media. Influenced by abstraction and emotional expressionism, her work is as much about the texture of the different materials as it is about the process of building up and taking away the layers former while she works. Haessel was a student at the Alberta College of Art and Design and has participated in international solo and group exhibitions.
