Solomon Karpik

Solomon Karpik was a printmaker from Pangnirtung, NU. He was born in 1947 and worked in the Pangnirtung printmaking shop with his brother, Imoona Karpik, through the 1970s. Karpik printed drawings done by a number of Pangnirtung artists including Malaya Akulukjuk, Elisapee Ishulutaq, Lypa Pitsiulak, and Pauloosie Karpik, his stepfather. Several of the works he has printed have been featured at the ULAG.
