Silassie Tukai

Silassie Tukai was a sculptor from Inukjuak (Port Harrison), QC. He was born in 1919 and began carving at the age of thirty. His brothers, Lucassie Tukai, Noah Tukai, and Peter Tukai are also sculptors and his wife, Lydia Tukai, is a sculptor and basket-maker.
Tukai’s sculptures have been exhibited nationally and internationally. His works have not yet been shown at the ULAG.
