Alexandra Haeseker

Alexandra Haeseker is a Netherlands-born painter, printmaker, and installation artist known for looking into alternate forms of realistic representation. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours at the University of Calgary in 1966, a Master of Fine Arts from the same university in 1972, and a Fine Arts Diploma from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 1968. She taught at the Alberta College of Art and Design for 30 years.
Work from Haeseker has been included in international exhibitions and collections. Major interests in her artistic practice include swarm theory and the concept of autobiography. She has completed several large commissions for the City of Calgary, including murals housed at Calgary International Airport.
