Gail Carney
Born in Medicine Hat, Gail J. Carney graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1974. Her work in ceramics and drawing combine art and science. She joined the Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver as a ceramics technician and instructor before becoming a senior administrator. After retirement in 2008, Carney accepted a position at the Neufeld Institute.
Her work was featured in a 2001 Southern Alberta Art Gallery exhibition Their Own Backyard, a show of works pulled from the University of Lethbridge Art Gallery’s collection.
