Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Jennifer Gordon was a painter and photographer. The landscapes of Trinidad influenced her artwork throughout her career. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Mount Allison University in 1974 and a Master of Fine Arts at Concordia University in 1979. Gordon taught in the University of Lethbridge’s Department of Art from 1986-1991 before returning to Montreal to resume work as a full time artist.
Gordon’s work is held in collections across Canada. She published an artist’s book titled Choosing the Dots, Avoiding the Holes, purchased by the National Gallery of Canada. Her works were included in the 2004 University of Lethbridge exhibition “Changing Values”.
