Mark Uqayuittuq

Mark Uqayuittuq was a sculptor and graphic artist from Qamani’tuaq (Baker Lake), NU. He was born in 1925 and his father is printmaker and graphic artist Luke Anguhadluq. Uqayuittuq went on to marry Janet Kigusiuq, the eldest daughter of renowned Qamani’tuaq artist Jessie Oonark. Several of Uqayuittuq’s prints were included in the Baker Lake annual print collection and have been exhibited across Canada and the United States.
